2025-08-10

The EYFON PeaceDays II program in Europaburg, Austria, gathered over 100 young leaders from Europe, the Balkans, Africa, and Central Asia for an intensive week of intercultural dialogue and peacebuilding activities. Participants engaged in team-building exercises, collaborative workshops on conflict resolution, and training sessions on mediation techniques and social cohesion. The program also included study visits to historical reconciliation sites and cultural centers to deepen understanding of regional histories and the impact of past conflicts.

Participants worked on cross-cultural projects in small groups, exploring solutions for community challenges such as integration of refugees, youth activism, and environmental initiatives. The program encouraged reflection on personal leadership styles, intercultural communication, and strategies for promoting tolerance in diverse societies. In addition, panel discussions with local leaders and international experts allowed youth to directly exchange insights on peacebuilding policies and initiatives, bridging theory and practice in a real-world context.

Aurora Europa plays a central role in complementing these activities by using music as a medium for reflection and remembrance. Through performances and guided discussions on post-conflict experiences, the symphony allows participants to explore the emotional dimensions of reconciliation and the importance of shared cultural memory in building lasting peace.
